AC Milan seem to be using their Champions League tie with Arsenal to do a bit of flirting with Robin van Persie. The Dutchman will only have a year left on his contract in the summer and negotiations about a new one haven't started yet.
Arsenal's fall from grace continues and following the 4-0 defeat in Milan, Van Persie made an effort to exchange greetings with AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliano who later said "I saw a fantastic player for Arsenal in Robin van Persie, who I like very much. I don't take every player I like. It is true in the tunnel he came to say hello."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic was a bit more blunt when he talked on the issue at the end of last week "If you do not win anything for years it is normal that players decide to leave Arsenal and this is happening. I do not know what he is thinking but I know what I'd do."
And today Thiago Silva has said "Players like him are welcome in Milan. He has something different. He can make you dizzy with his movement."
It may all be harmless and coincidence or it may be the initial stages of AC Milan, Serie A Champions, making their move to take Arsenal's captain to Italy.
