Nico Gaitan has had yet another possible goodbye match according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola on Monday, and he got kicked around a bit. A Bola say in their Monday edition that Gaitan was left hurt after the match against Sporting Lisbon on Sunday, but it's nothing which should harm his prospects of a Manchester United move. Reality may harm those prospects, but A Bola and others in the Portuguese press valiantly continue to fly the flag.
A Bola say Gaitan's latest goodbye would see him again replace Angel Di Maria at a club, just like he did when he moved to Benfica. Manchester United want Gaitan, say O Jogo, and have long had a fee agreed to sign the Argentine, therefore inexplicably not actually doing so.
Another Portuguese newspaper, O Jogo, said just over a week ago that a fee had been agreed between the two clubs of a bit over £21m and that Gaitan himself was convinced the move would be happening. It Gaitan did finally arrive at Manchester United it would tie up a transfer which has been rumoured to be happening for years.
But given the previous claims there's always going to be huge doubt about Gaitan to Manchester United stories.
