Well another team to play from whom we have pinched their start player, that up to now has proven to be a bad omen.

This game is all down to Bruce, who he plays and how he sets them up, we are watching you Bruce its time to prove you know what you are doing.

I am not confident enough in him to predict a win, prove me wrong Bruce.

by the way  we are 91 0f 92 in the 2017 league table. Tells you all you need to know

Trying to be positive but every time i say that we should or have a good game it all go's wrong .

So here is my negative prediction we will be happy with a draw our form say's that result would be fair but will not be surprised if we lose .

Gone are the day's that Rizla is the eternal optimist .

Get a grip u crowd - as u lot are always telling me 'think positive' which I have tried to be, but my positivity is now wearing a bit thin - usually thinned by my tears diluting my ouzo !!

Brucie will learn that his totally inept tactics are failing - 2night we might just see a glimmer of hope cos he might just say 'sod it' I think that maybe the fans on here know better !

Yes I know that you think the ouzo is causing severe dillussions but I can only live in hope !

We often do better against a bigger club but maybe it's asking too much in this case.

Bruce has 6 losses in his last 11 matches; RDM had just 3 in his 11 and the 3rd was enough to get him the sack.

If he loses this then he's on the brink. Xia won't want another managerial change but equally he won't tolerate on-going decline. Neither should he.

Greek needs to try harder to cheer us up :(

Team: Johnstone Hutton Chester Baker Amavi Adomah Lansbury Hourihane Grealish Kodjia Hogan

Bench: Bunn Bacuna Elphick Green Bjarnason Gardner Davis

Nothing wrong with the line-up. Let's hope they can get a result.

35 mins gone we are 1-0 down, sounds like a dodgy pen decision.

Why has Lady Luck packed her bags. Where is she? I'm looking for a four leafed clover as we speak!

0-2 OMG WTF Bruce OUT!

1-2 We can win this !!!

Oh to be a Villa fan

1-3 seriously?

The cries for Bruce out will be deafening if this is the result.

We drew 1-1 with them at their place under RDM. They nicked a 90th minute equalizer. Now teams don't wait for the 90th minute.

Staying off facebook and twitter.

How can Bruce turn this around?

Johnstone taking flack.

I'm out

Where do we go? I really don't know but League One looks ever more likely. Whatever the board, whatever the management, whatever the players, nothing changes. I have no answers tonight. Good players come to Villa and become poor players. Then look at the 'rejects' currently playing in the Premier League; Brad Guzan, Matt Lowton, Curtis Davis, Gary Cahill, James Collins, Idrissa Gueye, Steven Davis, Mark Albrighton, Adams Traore, Rudy Gestede, Jordan Ayew, Ashley Westwood. There may be more. Then I hear that Carles Gil is tearing up La Liga.

Fact is, over two games, Barnsley, Preston, Ipswich, Wolves, Brentford etc are BETTER than we are. Why? Newcastle have ripped up this league. Norwich look like finishing in the play offs. Why not us? Have we done too much, too soon? God knows. I've never been more at a loss. Last season, it was obvious what was wrong. Now......bloody hell.

Barnsley lost two of their best players (to us!), and it didn't show. They had a game plan; we didn't. We played Sunday-in-the-park stuff; just go out and have a go at them. We put plenty of effort in, we tried. But there is more to football at this level than that.

Bruce has to take responsibility. Think he's out.

I'm actually starting to think that relegation could even be a blessing in disguise now!  This team's confidence is completely shot and the manager obviously has no idea what to do: I'll be surprised if he's still in charge for the Newcastle game, which we're bound to lose as well. My only worry is that if we go down, will Dr. Tony stick around for a season in the third tier? Doubtful, I'd say.  Then what?  Not a clue who'd buy into a floundering giant like Villa but, surely, whoever replaces Bruce would be able to get the team winning again in League One.  Remembering how things went in the 70s, it's almost a tempting prospect.............a decade from now, champions of Europe again?
