Want to be away Newcastle player and secret orwellian scholar,Joseph Barton, revealed his blairite tendencies today quoting from George Orwells 1984 in his bid to "keep his Aspidistra Flying" in the transfer market."In times of universal deceit telling the truth will be a revolutionary act"(Wibure Smith) opined Brother Barton in a move some commentators see as a come and get me plea to Walter Smith.Fans of Barton point out that he isnt averse to going overseas citing his "Burmese Days" as an example but opponents point out it is unlikely there will be a "Homage to Catalonia" on the cards after reading about his antics when he was "Down and out in Manchester and now Newcastle".The general consensus among literary scholars and drunken thugs is that wherever Mr Barton is seen "Coming up for Air" he"s sure to turn the club into an "Animal Farm"

Brilliant.

"Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one."

He wants shirt number 1984
It worries me all this quoting from Barton, it's almost like some psychotic violent criminal in an American jail documentary telling the world it's all their fault and he has a deeper understanding.
It was probably his prison number TCIR.If not he should sack his PR people who suggested it to him.
