Ties to be played on 25th/26th October.
Can't believe we've got Stoke away...
Hope we do better this time!
I think it's always odd how the cup ties throw up fixtures that have already been played. Arsenal v Bolton another rematch. Dull.
Aldershot, you must be quaking.
Other than away to either of the Manchester teams or Chelsea, it couldn't have been much tougher for us IMO.
I am taking our recent meeting as a positive. Although we lost, we didn't deserve to. We dominated the game and created a hat full of chances, their only chance was a penalty which they scored. That was a one off game, a freak of nature, if played that game ten times, we'd have won nine of them. That is not being disrespectful to Stoke as I think they are a fantastic side, just my view of that one match.
I think the fact that Man Utd got Aldershot makes the other games look worse too.
Yes, I had predicted we'd get either United or City away, so Stoke will be OK.
And it's time - we've had no joy out of them at their place in the league, so we need to turn that around in the cup. It looks as if it will be between Norwich at home and WBA away ... there's another result we need!
I think the word "suspicious" may have been a little tongue-in-cheek but I may be wrong? The draw does show Man Utd's continuous luck in cup draws though.
