Celtic left-back Emilio Izaguirre has denied he’s leaving Celtic this summer. The Honduran player talked to journalists in his home country and said he’s returning to Scotland as normal after his vacations.
In an interview with Tiempo, Izaguirre explained: “I don’t want to talk anything about Celtic, I have a contract for two years with them, only they will know what will happen, then I think of spending these moments relaxed with my family and waiting. God knows what will come for me.
“Nothing from clubs from other countries has come to Celtic, I have a contract and a date when I should present myself and the preseason will be in Slovenia, it’s confirmed I have to be there, by the way, I follow the plan the physical coordinator gave me."
Izaguirre signed for Celtic from Montagua in 2010 for €750k. The 30-year-old has 234 appearances for the club so far, as his contract runs out in June 2017.
