Chelsea and Liverpool suffer huge setback, after player decides to stay at the club

Reports in France has, recently, suggested Chelsea and Liverpool could be interested in signing Paris-Saint Germain star Javier Pastore in the summer.

Football France reported Liverpool chief scout, Kevin Hunt, has been to Paris to watch Pastore, and that Klopp is interested in taking him on board, while Italian website Tuttosport revealed Chelsea are also keen on signing him, and both Premier League clubs have a financial advantage.

Fresh reports in France suggest the Argentine has agreed to stay in Paris next season, which could be a setback for Chelsea and Liverpool.

According to Get Football News France, Pastore has agreed to stay at the club beyond summer, after meeting PSG officials and Nasser Al Khelaifi.

The meeting took place, on Saturday, before Zlatan Ibrahimovic's farewell game at Parc des Princes, when the player's representatives accepted the club's request to stay put.

The 26-year-old arrived at the club in 2011 in a €42m deal, and regular injuries has been an issue, but he'd be hoping to stay fit next season.
