Manchester United player says "I'm looking for other clubs" as first team frustrations hit

Manchester United defender Fabio has confirmed that he's looking to leave the club if things don't turn around regarding performances. The young Brazilian has seen his twin Rafael work his way to be a first choice for the team but his own career path hasn't gone as well as he'd have liked.

Fabio was speaking to ESPN in Brazil and said  "I don't know, man. I think the time has come and maybe in the next window or even next season, I think I might leave. There are good possibilities."

"I'm looking for other clubs. There's nothing certain, we'll leave it for later".

"I want to be happy, man. I want to play, I want to be happy, I want to be close to my family. I may go back to Brazil, or maybe not, I'm checking with my manager to see what is the best for me."

"The affection I have for Fluminense is very big, for sure. I played there for seven years, and certainly if I have to go back to Fluminense I'm going with great pride because I have a special affection for them."

A loan move to QPR turned out badly for Fabio and the club bought Alexander Buttner from Vitesse which has further limited his chances. The 23 year old can play left back, right and further forward. He started the match against Crystal Pala in the Premier League this season but that's his only appearance so far.

Rafael had recently been linked with a move back to Brazil but denied there was any likelihood of him leaving Manchester United, the situation is clearly different for his brother. There would be many clubs interested in Fabio and now he's put his name on the market the speculation will surely grow.

According to the Transfermarkt database his contract ends next June meaning that Manchester United wouldn't get a fee if he went then. Fabio has also seen David Moyes move for Leighton Baines and must feel his future at the club would be that of a bit part player and is therefore taking steps to see what he can do about it.
