Wow, what a start and this could actually be good news for us. These first three games are going to be watched worldwide and for our star man Benteke, he can really put himself in the shop window. This is great news as it must have some bearing on his decision as to his future. I think the club will be even more determined to keep him as a good start for us will set us up for the season. I really hope he decides to stay of his own free will and can be convinced Villa is the best place for him for the next 12 months.

Those are probably the three hardest games we could have got Arsenal away will be tough and depending on who it sign will only get harder.

If we can get a point from Arsenal it will set us up nicely for the home game against Liverpool we can beat them the new lads will want to show the home fans what they are all about.

Chelsea under Jose will be the hardest game, they will sign quality in the summer and will want to send out a message to the league.

Lambert will have to work his magic all the new players when ever they have been interviewed they all say it will be a dream to play in this league well this has just become a reality and the games will be tough so welcome to the league.

Our March is fairly brutal as well, with Man City, Chelsea and Man U. Though April and May are well do able. I actually prefer our start of the season, rather than say the same fixtures at xmas, when the pressure may really be on...

At least we know that we will be on MOTD for the first few weeks!

The Chelsea game will be postponed because of them playing Bayern Munich in the Euro Super Cup that weekend. Not sure when they will fit it in. They played the similar game against Reading on 30th Jan last season.

Liverpool for the first home game of the season, what a way to start , Villa Park full to the rafters , plenty of new signings could be making their first home debuts, Villa Park will be banging & i can't wait , anything at Arsenal will be a bonus, but our record at their place is not too shoddy !

( anyway, i've been through the fixtures & we get 95pts this year )

Roll on August !

To be honest I've just looked at the table and we're doing great. We are already in the second automatic Champions league spot and that opening game against Arsenal will be a crunch one as they are currently top. Cardiff seem to be the surprise package of the season so far, managing a creditable third place and looking good for a Champions League play off place. I for one am well pleased with how it's going so far this season.

I knew West Brom couldn't carry there form from last season

And our goal difference is better than at any stage last year :-)
Our defense has really gelled so far
