Watford have been linked to few players in the Serie A, since the appointment of Walter Mazzarri. A couple of days ago, Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reported they are interested in signing Brazilian defender Juan Jesus, and now reports in Italy claim Mazzarri could be interested in signing another player he has previously worked with.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, Napoli are looking to sell Christian Maggio this summer, and Mazzarri would be happy to have him at Watford.
The 34-year-old still has another couple of years left in his contract at Napoli, and has rarely played this season, so it's really difficult to see Watford making any real investment in him, except if Napoli allow him to join the Premier League side for a nominal fee.
The Italian right back played under Mazzarri at Sampdoria, and reunion does sound good for both of them, but Watford could look for better targets out there considering there is no shortage of money for Premier League clubs.
