Into Anfield from the looks of it, before anyone else gets any bright ideas. :P

Liverpool have made the breakthrough in their £20m move for Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson, with David Ngog set to move to the Stadium of Light.

Thoughts?

Is he going to be moulded into Gerrard's long term replacement?

Just been on Twitter and George Caulkin (good Times journo in the North East) seems certain that it's £13m + N'Gog. That sounds a lot better than £20m cash to me.

Re Gerrard's replacement. I've heard over the last few days that Kenny wants to play him on the right so I suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens there. I don't see him as being as dynamic as Gerrard anyway but he could definitely end up playing a similar role in the team.

Like I said on the other Henderson thread I'm just glad to see the club trying to get deals done early in the window.

Think you overpaid but time will tell. If you got rid of N'Gog though I may go as far to say that you robbed 'em ;).

JOY JOY JOY if N'Gog is N'go-ing to Sunderland for Henderson...

Mito will be gutted, but there you are.

Fair play if the N'Gog deal is true. Best for all parties.

Good luck to the lad coming in and to the one leaving (if it happens).

It's on the official site now too, just needs to agree personal terms and have his medical today. There's no mention of N'Gog though so we might have to wait to get that confirmed.
