Something has occurred to me. Even though Paul Lambert has spent that much talked about £45m net, in the transfer market, he has bought of course, many players. Only six players though, have cost £3m or above. These are:

BENTEKE (£7m)

KOZAK (£7m)

VLAAR (£4m)

SANCHEZ (£4m)

GIL (£3.2m)

OKORE (£3m)

Bearing in mind that Kozak has been out injured for 14 months, would it be fair to say that when Lambert has spent in excess of £3m, he has really done exceptionally well? Just saying.

Pity about Kozak. Might not be as devastating as Benteke but he showed when he had the chance that he could score goals. Obviously a serious injury. Let's hope he can get back to playing as he was.

yeah, Kozak he was unlucky with, but Benteke, Vlaar, Sanchez (especially i think will look like a massive bargain) and Okore, have been very sound buys. Add to that, the likes of Westwood and Cissohko and you start to sees just how good Lambert is at getting in good players. It has only really been the two dodgy left backs that have not been up to par…and maybe Cleverley, depending on your standpoint.

As well as Cleverly, Bennett and Luna, you are also forgetting Sylla, El Ahmadi, Tonev, Bowery. All awful. For me, Westwood is an average Championship player. Not a Premiership midfielder.

However, my original point stands. The £3m plus buys cannot be questioned.

News filtering through that Zoggy could be off to Everton on loan, which would in turn free up the funds for Sinclair.

Bye Bye Charles Insomia

Kojak has been unlucky... he's not as good as Benteke can be, but on current form he'd be probably in the team ahead of the Beast. Benteke needs some pressure on his spot in the team... at the minute he looks like he could stumble in 5 minutes before kick off clutching a bottle of gin, with no kit and still get in the team.

but then again, other news says the Sinclair deal is dead and Lambert has turned his attentions to another young midfielder in La Liga.

N'Zog will probably be a revelation at Everton. He is still a very talented player. Of course, Martinez had him at Wigan, where he was sensational.

In the other direction, I see we've sold Daniel Johnson to Preston. Always thought he had the makings of a very good player.

True. Also Chris Herd is off on loan to Wigan. Always thought that he was a decent utility player wbo has been unlucky with injuries at the wrong time.

Those players you list are really very good players hopefully to serve us for many a year. I am impressed with them all so far but Sanchez is really impressive followed by Okore. The latest of Lambert's players I have never heard of Carles Gill looks as if he is the real business.

Keep it up Mr Lambert

There's some new guy over at Derby, looks promising, knocked in 3 goals in 3 games. What do you reckon? Should we go for him? Name of Darren something...

Found his feet in the Championship has he?!!

i would be happy to bet that Gabby would also score goals in the championship,
