Manchester City youngster set for Italy or Spain move according to agent

Twenty year old Manchester City striker John Guidetti, full name being the remarkable John Alberto Fernando Andres Luigi Olof Guidetti, could be set for a move without ever really getting a chance with the Premier League champions.

The youngster was on loan at Feyenoord last season and scored an impressive 20 goals, he would likely have been part of Sweden's Euro 2012 squad but he not got an injury before the tournament started. Guidetti signed a three year contact extension with Manchester City last year but has only made one competitive appearance for the club.

His agent has been speaking in Italy about his future and it appears he wants to permanently leave the Manchester club and settle down elsewhere, hoping to keep up the impressive start he's had to his career. His agent, Roberto De Fanti, told TMW "Given that his dream is to play in Italy because of his origins, or in Spain, I'm already considering some situations. Inter? Without the names, I can tell you only the most important teams of the Italian league.

"Who takes Guidetti secures a great player for the next 10 years. His value? I can not say exactly, but I think it hovers between 7 and 8 million euros."

It would be somewhat of a shame if the youngster never gets the chance to prove his worth at Manchester City but with the options upfront that Roberto Mancini currently has then perhaps it's the right decision for him to move on permanently. His agent certainly seems to think so.
