Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund both plan big recruitment pushes this summer, although David Moyes will have a lot more to spend than Jurgen Klopp. Both clubs have been linked with a move for Freiburg's Matthias Ginter as part of their shopping.
The 20 year old central defender recently made his international debut for Germany and brought him more attention. Manchester United were one of the club's linked with a summer move and the player himself sounded happy about that when he said in March "If this really should be so, I'm really happy and honoured."
However, Bild claim on Friday that Dortmund are trying to get a Ginter transfer agreed before the summer window even opens, and they want to pay just €8m for the German international. That's a low amount for a player who has a contract running until at last 2017.
Manchester United could easily step in on the deal but if they don't do that quickly then the decision could be made and Ginter committed to a Dortmund future. Klopp would hope the defender could be yet another young star he's bought from elsewhere in Germany to go on and shine at Dortmund.
Ginter can play with the ball at his feet and as such can also operate as a defensive midfielder.
