A couple of days ago, Pachuca’s vice-president Andres Fassi sent the European media in a bit of frenzy as he claimed that Manchester United had made approaches for their star winger Hirving Lozano.
The 20-year-old, who has scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in 47 appearances this season, is seen as a very exciting prospect, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Manchester United were indeed keeping an eye on him.
Well, things have developed a bit since then, at least that’s according to Vladimir García, a journalist for Fox Sports in Mexico, who claims Manchester United have already made a bid for the young forward, which has been rejected.
Pachuca are said to be asking for more money, which, if their demands are met, would make the forward the most expensive Mexican player sold abroad.
Considering Raul Jimenez, who was transferred from Club America to Atlético Madrid for $14m (£9.6m), currently holds that record, you can get a general idea of how much Pachuca are asking for.
