Every day there is an article in Italy about interest from a Serie A club in Manchester United's Nani. Inter Milan have been mentioned but the usual club is Juventus and their local newspaper Tuttosport love a Nani story. Today's angle from them is that the Portugese international is 'growing uneasy' with life under David Moyes and would like a move away from the football club.
Nani signed a big contract in the summer which lasts until June 2018, the cynical slant was that the new deal would enable Manchester United to get a reasonable fee for the player. His old deal was due to expire at the end of the current season and he could have left for free.
Tuttosport say Manchester United have told Juventus the price for Nani is €20m, which the Turin club are simply not prepared to pay. Their revival under Antonio Conte has been based on getting great talent cheaply, or even for free. Nani doesn't fit into that and unless the Italian club can get him for much less it doesn't look like a deal will be done.
That is unlikely to stop the rumours in Italy about Nani and a potential transfer away from Old Trafford. If he doesn't move during this window that won't deter the Italian media who will carry on the story to the summer.
