Hi there Villians.

Anyone watching/following this competition?

If you haven't here's the link to the official site:

I think it's a great idea and have been following Liverpool's group stage games.  There's a couple of big-name academies in each group; we got Sporting Lisbon, you have Ajax, City have Barca and Spurs have Inter.  It's a good mix of clubs.

I hope this catches on as it's giving some great experience to our up and coming starlets.  It's one thing to do it in reserve games (which there aren't many of) but there's a huge gap between that and making it in the 1st team.  These kids are getting their first experience of club level competition; the travelling, the higher intensity, different styles of football and some (relatively) big crowds.

Hadn't checked any other group results out until today and you're lying in second same as us.  Unfortunately for Liverpool we only have 1 game left and thats against Sporting who thumped us 3-0 in the first game, so we're going to have to pull out all the stops.  You've only played 2 and and put in a dominant 4-0 win over Fenerbahce after a shaky opener, so it's all to play for.

Spurs are topping their group after 3 games, whilst City lost their opener to barca.  Barca, Sporting and Ajax are the only teams to have won all their games.  It'd be great if we can all get out of the group stages.
