Rangers are reportedly interested in Esteban Alvarado from Trabzonspor. The Costa Rican goalkeeper, who has a contract expiring next year, has been followed by the Scottish club’s board recently. The powers that be at Ibrox have identified the footballer as a value addition for Rangers in the Scottish Premiership next season.
According to Futbol Centro America, Rangers want to make a strong squad for their return to the Scottish Premiership and one of the key roles they need to add strength is goalkeeper.
The website claims the player had an irregular season at Trabzonspor, and that’s why the club shouldn’t put up much resistance to sell him, as long as they receive a fair offer. Transfermarkt values him at €2m, the Turkish club may expect a little more coming from Ibrox.
Alvarado made 16 appearances for Trabzonspor this season and conceded 29 goals. Just like Keylor Navas, he’s missing the Copa America because of an injury. He may be able to cheer himself up with a move to Glasgow and Rangers.
