Rojo trains with Sporting, no signal from Manchester United to travel

Marcos Rojo has already said goodbye to his teammates. He did that on Monday when he was allowed back to Sporting Lisbon's training ground following his public apology for trying to force a move to Manchester United. He told his teammates that he hoped they'd be successful without him and promised to return to the Sporting title-winning party at the end of the coming season.

Then on Monday evening he spoke to an Argentine radio station and told them it was a dream to join Manchester United, even if it was difficult to leave his current club in Portugal. On Tuesday there were claims in Portugal that Sporting would announce the signing of Luis Nani after an open training session on Tuesday afternoon at 5pm.

That made everything look imminent and a Manchester United announcement on Rojo signing was largely expected today. That could still happen in theory, but Record report that he trained as normal with Sporting on Tuesday and hasn't left Lisbon. The deal, they say, is not completely closed and Rojo is having to wait to be told that he's to travel to Manchester for a medical and to sign his contract.

A frustrating delay. Louis van Gaal was clearly wrong when he said he could get transfer deals completed in 24 hours. Manchester United fans may have to wait until Wednesday for an announcement.

AH NO here we go again, all talk no action from the United board. It is a fact that Uniteds squad is not up to the challenge of competing in the Premiership and needs strengthening. If this isn't done during this window Ed Woodward should be sacked if he hasn't got the decency to resign. He made promises he has so far failed to keep. If United fail to atleast get back into the Champion League next season be prepared for one major financial meltdown. Strengthen the squad NOW.

It's probably just Sporting playing for power, wouldn't worry too much.
