The Spanish sport media love few things more than predicting a line-up and then complaining it's not how they had wanted it to be. This doesn't change for pre-season friendlies. The match between Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur is being seen as quite a big deal by the Madrid media and anticipated with genuine excitement.
The sport media in Madrid are looking forward to see how Gareth Bale does in the Audi Cup. Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema are both carrying small knocks and so won't be taking part, and both AS and Marca have Bale on their front page today saying that now is the Welshman's turn to shine.
Quite from being ant-Bale, the Madrid press think he's one of the best players on the planet and likely to do great things over the next season, the match against former club Tottenham is seen as a great place for him to start.
Marca believe Real Madrid will go with Keylor Navas in goal, and a back four of Carvajal (or Danilo), Ramos, Pepe and Marcelo. In the middle they say it's likely to be Kroos and Modric, with James, Bale and Isco ahead of them and Jese upfront.
AS disagree slightly and go for Varane over Ramos, and suggest Cheryshev could be started over Isco - which would cause all kinds of trouble given that Madrid's fans are eager to see Isco given more chances.
The Spanish media aren't likely to be as accurate for Tottenham, but Marca reckon the team will be: Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Bentaleb, Chadli, Eriksen, Lamela and Kane.
AS go different and say Vorm, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Bentaleb, Dembele, Eriksen, Chadli, Kane.
Both newspapers have gushing pieces on harry Kane, with him being compared to Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney. Thankfully neither say that Real Madrid are trying to buy him!
