Sunderland star close to Serie A move, club ready to offer him 'important money'

Emanuele Giaccherini has been in impressive form for Serie A side Bologna this season, which also earned him a call to Antonio Conte's Italy squad for the Euros.

Several clubs in England and Italy also want to sign the Italian international in the summer, while Sunderland are also keen on keeping him, but with just one year left in his contract at the Stadium of Light, they can't really force him to.

Watford were also linked to the player, but the player recently admitted he'd like to stay at Bologna. According to Tutto Mercato Web, the player is close to signing for Torino, despite rumors linking him to Bologna, as the club from Turin are ready to offer him 'important money' to sign him.

Giaccherini could be available for a nominal fee, and could be a very good signing for most Serie A clubs. The player has scored 7 goals in 28 league appearances this season, and Sunderland could very well regret the decision of sending him on loan.
