Maybe I'm sinking into new depths of delusion, but I have a strange feeling we might do OK in this one. In fact, all the next few games are against teams which have one problem or another. Swans don't have a great keeper in Fabianski, and if we can somehow find a way to put him under pressure then we might get the odd vital goal. I'd play something like last week's team:
Hutton Okore Lescott Cissokho
Gil/Bacuna Veretout Gana Westwood
As indicated, maybe swap Gil for Bacuna and/or Sinclair for Gestede. If Sinclair plays then he needs to be fairly far forwards. I'm not sure if Gestede would trouble the Swans defence enough.
A victory to celebrate the post Fox/Almstad era would be nice.
I'd love a win, just don't see us scoring!
Give a couple of the young un a run out, I'd love Adama to start, but doubtful.
Bottom line I think we'll probably lose again. to avoid this we MUST score first!
Hutton Clark Lescott Cissokho
Gil Veretout Gana Westwood
Just Clark in for Okore. Maybe Okore's thinking too much about pastures new.
Subs: Bunn Okore Sanchez Sinclair Gabby Bacuna Green
What did we expect????????????
Swansea are awful as are another three or so sides and we make them look good.
Roll on May, but although I am looking forward to next season we could go down again at this rate.
So the great Guzan revival hits a brick wall. Gutted. At least the team were trying. We weren't far off hitting the back of the net. Several times. This isn't a great team but it's the defensive howlers which are sending us down.
