... on a far more successful season than we could ever have dreamed of. Stumbling along at the start, Bruce's shortcomings, even taking the eventful summer into account, were brutally exposed. Thankfully the owners acted, a new exciting competent manager came in, players who had been rejected suddenly started shining, and helped by some inspired January signings we finally put in a record run and a place in the playoffs.

It would be great to finish the season proper with a win. But our eyes are now firmly set of the aftermath; the playoffs and our quest for promotion. I am reasonably optimistic; it's no fluke we've played as well as we have, and I trust DS to have the lads in the right frame of mind. Bring it on!

Norwich? Think he'll rest a few, but he'll still go all out to win it. There's a good chance we will, and that should set us up just nicely.

So, finish with a loss. Not that bothered, not nice to lose but Dean leaving out our best players was a good move, and overall we put up a decent show. Kodj had a very good game and I'd be surprised if he wasn't here next season.

Probably Hutton's last match for us. Barney will definitely be gone. Not sure about Lansbury but I think he'll go.

Now for the serious stuff! UTV

Yep, wasn't bothered about today and when I saw the line up, didn't expect to win and glad some players were rested.

However, we could have won today, but I am actually glad we lost as it ends the run and now we go again, start from fresh with fresh legs. Go stuff them Baggies.

Delighted with the situation we are in, well done Dean. Pity we didn’t replace Bruce last summer as I am sure we would have been promoted already without the play offs.

I hate the play offs, let's hope we wrap this one up early with a resounding win at VP today. The tension is unbearable particularly as I won't be able to watch.

Time to put away our chances and keep 3 clean sheets. Too much to ask? Probably, up the Villa!!

Well this is a better position to the one we expected under Bruce, we are playing well and everyone has confidence, on the other hand the Baggies have struggled.

We will probably not get this chance again we need to grab it and I am confident Dean will do the business.

Advantage Villa, but I still hate the play offs, my nerves can't take it.

Quietly confident after that result. We were the better side, even if we didn't put them under enough pressure in the first half. They were lucky to get the chance for their goal, we could have scored more in the second half.

So, we still have to do it, but the advantage is ours. Lets hope we make use of it.

I HATE THE PLAY OFFS.

Penalty shoot out, I need alcohol, but it is 6.30am here.

COME ON LADS!
Thank god for that, but we need to be better at Wembley.

Glad we won but boy we didn’t play well

Must do better

Phew! That was a struggle. In spite of not playing well we had 72% of the play and I think deserved to go through.

Thought Jack wasn't quite his usual self and wondering if he was carrying a knock. Hourihane and El Ghazi were superb, as was Steer, and Elmo did pretty well. Tuanzebe and Mings did of course but you expect that.

Weakest link I think was Green, who doesn't seem to have the confidence to go with his talents.

So, on to the final hurdle. It's going to be tough, but so it is for whoever we face. Hope we've recovered by then; thought we were a bit tired.
