Tottenham are in line to scupper Nuri Sahin's proposed move from Real Madrid, according to the Spanish press. AS say that in Real Madrid's pre-season training camp it's the situation surrounding the Turkish international which is causing more issues than the club's wish to sell Kaka.
Sahin is said to be bitter about the situation, at the beginning of the summer both the player and his manager gave quotes which suggested there was no way he would be leaving the La Liga club but that's all changed over the past week or so and Sahin isn't happy with the way things are progressing.
AS say that Real Madrid won't let him join Arsenal until they have bought Luka Modric and with Spurs prepared to hold out for the duration of the transfer window that leaves a problem for Arsene Wenger and Nuri Sahin.
Arsenal are said to be very close to signing Santi Cazorla and if they were to add Nuri Sahin then their summer transfer dealings would be very impressive, but Wenger doesn't want to leave everything to the last minute like he did last year and that creates issues with the Sahin transfer.
Daniel Levy and Real Madrid seem to be having a time-out in their Modric discussions and both sides are in no hurry to get the deal done, that could see Arsenal get frustrated with the Sahin situation and look elsewhere.
What has Tottenham got to offer him?
World class team mates?
World class stadia?
Champions League football?
