Tottenham Hotspur and Michy Batshuayi makes so much sense. He's a very talented young striker, would likely be prepared to start as a back-up, has a club who would probably sell him for a reasonable fee, and his value has the potential to rise. Oh, and he's Belgian.
Batshuayi and Tottenham links go back a while and when Newcastle United submitted a bid for the player during the January transfer window, it was never likely to be successful, with the footballer knowing of interest from White Hart Lane and almost certainly finding that far more attractive.
French newspaper L'Equipe say on Thursday that Tottenham are in 'very advanced talks' over a potential summer move for the 22 year old, setting things up in advance. That would make sense too, getting things sorted out before the summer, and before the Euros, with Batshuayi having a good chance of making Belgium's squad, would suit everyone involved.
This transfer is so obvious that it'll be a shame if it doesn't happen, everything fits nicely.
