Morning all,

This weekend sees the West Midlands derby that ranks second for both Villa and Baggies fans. Both teams are seemingly safe from relegation now, but both will want 3 points to confirm their premiership status once and for all.

The Baggies will be looking for revenge after the 2-1 away defeat at Villa Park and Villa will be aiming for a rare away win to gain bragging rights once again.

Both sides have almost full squads to pick from, with only Dorrans and Cech out for West Brom.

This has the makings of an exciting game, both sides are prone to leaking goals and both are capable of scoring. If we can keep Odemwingie and Brunt quiet then I think we'll do well, hopefully Downing and Young can hit form and provide the crosses/passes for Bent to get on the end of.

I think GMac will stick with the same side as the last couple of games, although I'd rather see Gabby come in for Heskey, I'd also like to have another look at Makoun and maybe rest Petrov for this one.

I can see it finishing 2-2, though of course I'd prefer 0-3!

We should be looking to finish as high up the league as possible now, 500k per place isnt to be sniffed at! We should be looking to finish above Newcastle and Sunderland, just to shut their fans up, and we should definitely be aiming to be top dog in the midlands.

What do the rest of you think, predictions? Line up? Barry Bannan is back, do you think he'll get any playing time?

Anyway, looking forward to the game.

C'mon Villa!

I'd take Heskey out in a heartbeat.  He offers nothing at all, and doesn't even do the job he's put in there to do.

Away from home I'd rather play 4-5-1 with Bent up front on his own.  Add Makoun or Bradley to the midfield with NRC & Petrov.

After his 2 previous games I can't see anyone dropping Stan as he's been amazing for us.

My line up

L Young

A Young

This gives us the stability in the middle of the park and to cover our obviously shakey defence, but also the ability to break fast on the wings.

I'd be happy with a point from this one in all honesty, but a win would be massive.

I think Banann was brought back as Leeds weren't using him, and he may as well sit on our bench as theirs.  He's good enough to do a job and I'd expect to see him & Albrighton feature at some point.

I like the look of that line up cornish. NRC as the anchor and Petrov and Makoun picking the ball up and spreading it out to the wingers, it's a solid line up with pace going forward too.

We look a lot better since Luke Young came back in my opinion.

TL - "and Petrov and Makoun picking the ball"

... Noooo, this is football. Thats not allowed ;)

Agree with l.young. So much better. Saying that, we dont have anyone else to play LB, so i think we were always going to look better with him there

I would love to see Delph and Bannan play too,  more so Bannan at the moment,  4-5-1

Young Cuellar Collins Walker

         Petrov Makoun

Downing           Young

Gabby/ Delph on for Makoun /Petrov  if its 0-6 to villa after 20mins

Think we'll see young in behind Bent again now we're safe.

Marc back on the wing and Petrov and Makoun back in.

Delph may start though which i'd look forward to,

God no, not the 4-5-1, that is the main problem this year, it doesn't work with our players, gotta be 4-4-2 I'm sorry but the 4-5-1 is diabolical, it hasn't worked for us.  Also I tried it on FIFA (I know its only a game) but it was terrible on there, had to change it, it offers nothing attack wise, its so easy to close down, the 4--3-3 works better.

  Kind of like

It's harder to close down and it offers a lot of support for Bent.

With Petrov, Makoun and Bannan/NRC/Delph in the middle would work better, than the old 4-5-1.

Alright lads!

I am now online for the duration of the Baggies game.  A subtle blend of BBC WM, Villastreams and here should see me through.  Has the team been announced yet?

UTV.... I look forward to you conversing x4

I have just heard Heskey is out for a month with knee ligament damage.  Looks like a straight 4 -4-2 with Bent and Gabby up front and the usual suspects everywhere else (Petrov and NRC centre mid)

Oh By the way WC ... I have invited the bloke who runs Villastreams to join our board.  He's a top man.

TEAM vs WBA (for you Villa x4)

Friedel, Walker, Collins, Dunne, L. Young, Downing, A. Young, Petrov, Reo-Coker, Agbonlahor, Bent.

Subs: Marshall, Clark, Cuellar, Pires, Albrighton, Bradley, Delph.

Carson, Olsson, Shorey, Meite, Jara, Morrison, Mulumbu, Scharner, Vela, Odemwingie, Cox.

Subs: Myhill, Pablo, Hurst, Tamas, Tchoyi, Miller, Fortune.

Hard as I try I don't care enough about the Baggies to actually hate them.  In fact I like Woy as well which doesn't help.  Don't get under my skin like The Blouse.
