Got to agree with you there J.D.H.S .
The statement that the team who score's the most goal's win game's is right .
The problem's we have had so far this this season is that despite the new crop of player's coming in the transfer window we cannot for what ever reason seem to get them to gel and work truly as a team and win game's then get a run going to build on .
The question is why ?
To much pressure on player's to justify there transfer fee ?
Not knowing or keeping to a fixed plan and formation causing the first team to under perform ?
Not enough chance's given to player's to perform to the standard's expected of them ?
The pressure on the team and club to get promotion at the first time of asking ?
The player's trying to hard to do the right thing's and ending up doing the wrong thing's more ?
Bruce for me at least is a manager who has a great deal of experience in the championship he did a capital job with Hull . He is also the best that is available at the moment and for me if he is given half a chance this appointment could work out well for all .
The Wolves game is if nothing else a baptism of fire for Bruce let's hope both he and the player's are up to the task .
The result , Well anything other than a draw would do for me and hopefully Bruce can pick a team that show's attacking intent to have a proper go at Wolves and score more than them or dare i wish for a clean sheet win .
If we give this manager a chance i think we could start getting the result's we as fan's wish for . I just hope this is not another ten game appointment if that happen's then i would start to think this season would be a rerun of last season .
Haven't the faintest on this one. A win in Bruce's first match would be massive, and could make our season. If he's as canny as made out, it should happen, as Wolves really aren't that great. On the other hand, this has banana skin written all over it. Can he really get the right team on the pitch and get it to perform, in only his third day in charge?
One thing in his favour is that I think he's more tactically astute than RDM proved to be. On top of selecting the starting XI, he'll have put some thought into how to change things if necessary.
Here's hoping. UTV
Gollini, Richards, Elphick, Chester, Cissokho, Adomah, Jedinak, Tshibola, Grealish, McCormack, Kodjia
Currently HT: 1-1
Very lucky. But we were due some luck.
Whether you're talking about PL or Championship, you must have a solid, powerfull midfield. It's supposed to be the midfield which controls the game. Wasn't impressed by the Jedinak buy; he was a solid but limited member of a Palace team which had problems. Sanchez isn't outstanding but he's way better. Stick him with Tshibola at the centre of midfield and we'd move up several notches.
Our defence has actually only conceded 13 goals in 12 matches; only 7 teams have done better. They'd have conceded less with a stronger midfield. The huge problem is finding the net;11 goals in 12 matches, only 3 teams have done worse. But again it's down to the midfield.
Be interesting to see who Bruce turns to on Tuesday. He had options sitting on the bench; I think he'll use them.
Let's be brutally honest. We were very lucky indeed to pick up a point. But it is a vital point in our battle against the drop!
