More About Me
A reasonable bloke...plays devils advocate too much, but doesn't takes fools lightly and swears way too much.
And happy to criticise the teams I support if it's needed.
Likes (some of) the French (incredible cheese, bread and wine) so that won't help my cause.

No gripes over officials, no sob stories, just wish I had not found this ground instead.

Helsby 4 - 0 Maghull

Saturday 21st February 2015  kick off 2pm

What can be said.

I have pondered and pondered and for the life of me I just cannot come up with a feasible enough adjective, that will not upset or annoy people. So, instead, let's skip the waffle and tell it how it was.

In Maghulls defence, and this is one of the few crumbs of comfort I can come up with, the pitch was a shambles. It held more in common with the himalayas and made…

Southport Trinity 3 - 1 Maghull

Friday 6th February 2015 kick off 8pm

This season I am beginning to sound like Jose Mourinho. Whining, whinging, moaning etc about officials.

Blacon YC 0 - 5 Maghull

Saturday 18th January 2015 kick off 2pm

The scoreline gives the impression that I should be waxing lyrical, about a five star performance, the nap hand (still don't know where that saying came from) and any other football related cliche that you can muster up. But no !

Maybe I am getting picky, but though this performance probably would have gained the three points in the last game, it should also have produced many, many,…

Maghull 2 - 4 Vauxhall Motors

Saturday 3rd September 2015 kick off 2pm

Somebody told me, I would never again see a performance as bad as the humiliation at Cammell Lairds two years ago. Saturdays first half had me wondering if they were right. How Maghull came off the park, after 45 minutes, only trailing 3-1 is beyond belief. They could not have complained had it been six or seven.

A non existent defence and midfield culminated in Vauxhalls putting on…
