More About Me
A reasonable bloke...plays devils advocate too much, but doesn't takes fools lightly and swears way too much.
And happy to criticise the teams I support if it's needed.
Likes (some of) the French (incredible cheese, bread and wine) so that won't help my cause.

Maghull 2-3 Burscough

Saturday 26th July 2014  kick off 3pm

Todays game was very well officiated let it be said. And good gestures made by both sets of managers.

The players seemed to get involved in a bit of a battle, that led to the substitutions of a few players that, lets say in a league game may have seen them taking an early bath.

Burscough, who are 4 levels above Maghull, started the brighter. Lots of crisp passing and good movement up…

A cracking performance, just not our night and way too hot for football.

Maghull 1-2 AFC Liverpool

Tuesday 22nd July 2014 kick off 7.15pm

On a night that was more suited to sandy beaches, long cool drinks and faffing about in the sea. Maghull put in a really good performance, but, for the second time in four days, saw the scoreline not reflecting the match at all. And again, against higher league opposition.

AFC had slightly better of the early exchanges, but when they took then lead, it came as a bit of a surprise. They had…

Three for the price of one and a game were fitness was the only factor.

Maghull 0-4 Bootle

Saturday 19th July kick off 3pm

Hellay every bloody peeps !!

Nice to have you back.

One thing I have noticed, through the lack of comments, is that very few read these daft ramblings.

Nobody seemed to notice (on the Maghull website) that I hadn't even posted a report, for the first two games, after the Burscough match.

You little scamps.

Anyway, it was nice to be at Old Hall Field again, after the World Cup…

Not the high we wanted, those horrid hands of fate, ahh well, we won the LEAGUE.

Maghull 1 - 1 West Kirby  aet 1-1  West Kirby win 3-2 on penalties

Wednesday 7th May 2014  kick off 7pm

This is my blog, I can say what I want on this and I am not censored by league politics.

No apologies whatsoever for what follows, but I will say I had massive respect for Phil Stafford and Stuart Kier prior to last nights game. For the restraint shown by both parties and applauding the victors at the end of the game, you are better men…
