More About Me
A reasonable bloke...plays devils advocate too much, but doesn't takes fools lightly and swears way too much.
And happy to criticise the teams I support if it's needed.
Likes (some of) the French (incredible cheese, bread and wine) so that won't help my cause.

Blacon YC 0 - 5 Maghull

Saturday 18th January 2015 kick off 2pm

The scoreline gives the impression that I should be waxing lyrical, about a five star performance, the nap hand (still don't know where that saying came from) and any other football related cliche that you can muster up. But no !

Maybe I am getting picky, but though this performance probably would have gained the three points in the last game, it should also have produced many, many,…

Saturday 3rd September 2015 kick off 2pm

Maghull 6 - 0 Ashville

Saturday 27th January 2015  kick off 2pm

Received my weekly gripe about not making the kick off, but this time the swines went and caught me out by popping in a very early opener. Apparently, Madden and Boyle played a neat interchange before setting up Dutton to strike home to give Maghull a very early lead.

From there onwards, Lee Carrol just had to be still and the clean sheet was guaranteed.

Boyle, having the run of the…

Maghull 0-1 South Liverpool

Saturday 13th December 2014 kick off 2pm

It looks like another weeks wait for that change of luck.

The league leaders came to Old Hall Field looking to take a ten point lead at the top of the table, albeit over nearest challengers who have three games in hand. But this one was a real must win for Maghull, to keep them in the title race. After suffering an abrupt about turn in the reverse fixture earlier in the season (leading…
