Early out of the traps, a stroll in the park and late again

Received my weekly gripe about not making the kick off, but this time the swines went and caught me out by popping in a very early opener. Apparently, Madden and Boyle played a neat interchange before setting up Dutton to strike home to give Maghull a very early lead.

15 months in the making, a game changer and the loss of silverware ?

Saturday 13th December 2014 kick off 2pm

It looks like another weeks wait for that change of luck.

The league leaders came to Old Hall Field looking to take a ten point lead at the top of the table, albeit over nearest challengers who have three games in hand. Jeckyll and Hyde, a different view of things and officials revisited.

Newton 2-1 Maghull

Saturday 6th December 2014 kick off 2pm

I am beginning to think I sound like a broken record. That was something we had before cd's youngsters.

We shall start with the first half.

It was quite a decent half of football. Newton, who showed at Old Hall Field that they are a much improved side from last season, kept themselves in a game that Maghull really should have taken by the scruff of the neck.
