A few thoughts re: Sot’on fiasco, moyes and our season as a whole

8 games in,8th in the table,8 points of the top and 11 points only grabbed is a dismal return for anyone with top 4 ambitions let alone title aspirations.Fair to say david moyes is doing a pretty bad job.

At the start of the season i didnt expect david moyes to win the league but at least challenge.its widely accepted that we're in transition but its no excuse for bad performances

Personally i thought the sot'on was one of our best attacking-wise since swansea;we missed loads, soton didnt have many chances but the substituitions is where all the debate is...

Giggs for nani

What can ryan giggs add to the team these days?Hes a washed up winger come central midfielder;cant run, cant create, nothing other than add to his appearance tally and make it closer to 1000 games.Where's zaha? How can SAF spend 15m on a promising winger only for him to rot on the bench? This is unacceptable.

Smalling for Rooney

This is the sub that gets the most attention. There was no need to break the defensive partnership of evans-jones(who were doing quite well to be fair)

After all,the goal conceded had nothing to do with the subs but its the mentality behind the subs which is the worrying part. The game called for more control. Its normal to have sot'on attack in waves but sitting deep at home and defending is not the answer.

I think its fair to say that the title is  beyond reach but a top 4 finish is still possible. Most importantly i just hope moyes is learning
