Welcome to WC’s Betting Blog, I will be taking a look at the forth coming Premier League (for now only) Football fixtures you may just want to have a little flutter on…

January is a funny month, and one if I'm honest I've always found difficult to win any money in, its the nitty gritty of the season, a time when the League isn't won, but it certainly can be lost. There is lots of unrest, lots of uncertainty over players and managers futures, invariably lots of injuries, the title contenders are just starting to become apparent and those who will be fighting relegation too become apparent...how will they deal with these pressures?

In short there is lots going on that can, and does, affect results... clubs shift priorities, shift managers, shift players... a lot can change in January over a short space of time and as much as the people "in football" complain about the transfer window, I do think the fans would miss it and I do think it does give a time period in the season for a club to change it's dynamic... anyway this weekends Premier League Fixtures...

Barclays Premier League

(LLLLW) Aston Villa v Everton (WDLWL),

(LLWL) Blackburn v Fulham (DDLDD)

(LDWWL) Chelsea v Sunderland (WWLLL)

(WDWDD) Liverpool v Stoke (WLWWL)

(LWWDW) Man Utd v Bolton (WWLLL)

(WDWWW) Tottenham v Wolverhampton (DDLLL)

(LDLLW) West Brom v Norwich (WDDLL)

(WLDLW) Newcastle v QPR (LDLLW)

(DDWDL) Swansea v Arsenal (LWLWW)

(LDDLD) Wigan v Man City (LDLDW)

 (form guide is based on last 5 home/away games depending if team is home or away)

Looking at the fixtures it would be easy just to go for the traditional "Top 4" as a 4 fold and end it there. But delve a little deeper and it ain't quiet that simple. United vs Bolton is the obvious banker, but at odds of 1/6 you'll be putting a lot of money on an inconsistent United side to win a small amount. Liverpool will not find Stoke an easy visitor to Anfield and Arsenal visit a tough to beat at home Swansea side who also like to keep the ball. Chelsea too face a resurgent (if not very lucky recently) Sunderland side who under the good ship MoN are rocketing up the league and will soon be stuck as the best of the rest with a huge wage bill... yes i am bitter...

So without further ado, I present WC's first weekly predictions... I will not be keeping tabs on the Win/Loss ratio... I'm sure someone will, I'm sure I will also get accused of being a Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea/Insert Team Name hater, and yes, you would probably be right, but just for the sake of fairness I give am giving my honest opinion as unbiasedly as possible for a through and through Villa fan... so expect me to tip Sunderland to lose every week and expect me to probably be wrong....

Draw - Aston Villa 2 v 2 Everton

Draw - Blackburn 0 v 0 Fulham

Draw - Chelsea 1 v 1 Sunderland

Draw - Liverpool 2 v 2 Stoke

Home Win - Man Utd 3 v 1 Bolton

Home Win - Tottenham 2 v 0 Wolverhampton

Home Win - West Brom 1 v 0 Norwich

Draw - Newcastle 0 v 0 QPR

Draw - Swansea 1 v 1 Arsenal

Away Win - Wigan 1 v 4 Man City

Value Bet of the Weekend;

Treble or Patent - 3 Draws, AstonVilla/Everton, Blackburn/Fulham and Newcastle/QPR  (The Treble comes in at just over 40-1)

Goal Scorer and Correct Score;

Again gone for a bit of Value, United win 3-1 with Phil Jones to score. Bolton have been woefull at set peices this weekend I expect that to continue... With the win prived at 14-1 and Jones at a healthy 12-1(first goal) and 4-1(anytime) the double option looks a good way to increase that win potential.

The Bankers Bet;

Manchester United, Manchester City and Spur... with the ever generous (sarcasm) bookies giving best odds of 2-1 for the treble...

WC's Wild Pick Punt

Kyle Walker to Score first against Wolves at a huge 28-1 and I've gone with my heart Charles N'Zogbia to score against Everton at 12-1

If you fancy a flutter before the weekend, How about a Treble on Spurs, Manchester City and Birmingham tonight? £10 should return fifty of the finest English pounds to your pocket.

A couple of horses too running today worth looking at;

Dickie Le Davoir 6.15 Kempton

and

Volcanic Dust 5.15 Kempton

Both have decent Win/EachWay chances.

This is a learning curve and I would love someone offer to help me with this weekly blog... Toto/Gerrez i'm looking at you... if you have any ideas of what you'd like to see in the betting blog or anything you can contribute please do private message me and we will talk....

6 draws from 10 games? At first look i'd say unlikely, but you make some good points. I don't think Stoke will score 2 away from home though, and fancy Arsenal or Chelsea to nick a win in their games. Good idea for a blog though. Here's my accumulator for the weekend

Villa/Everton - Draw

Blackburn/Fulham - Fulham

Chelsea/Sunderland - Draw

Liverpool/Stoke - Liverpool

Spurs/Wolves - Spurs

Manchester United/Bolton - United

West Bro/ Norwich - Draw

Newcastle/QPR - Newcastle

Swansea/Arsenal - Arsenal

Wigan/City - City

Not bad WC, I have a flutter every so often on an accumulator not a big one to bet on one match, but I do like reading keep it up man!  I'm thinking of a 2-1 Villa at the weekend then again I usually don't bet on Villa as I always go with my heart and plump them to win and I end up losing cash!

A poor excuse to write about my gambling problem... perhaps it will help...  A problem shared and all that...
